Fascinating! I like this guy’s effort to rename large portions of the west, midwest, and southeast after tribal nations. I’d change Menominee to Anishinaabe, though. 🙂

Since indigenous peoples in southern New England rarely get acknowledged on “official” maps, this map maker might consider adding Mohegan, Pequot, Paugussett, Schaghticoke, Wampanoag, Nipmuc presence.
Alaska should be Alaskan tribe names. Different sections anyhow.
Hawaii paired with Portland? Salt Lake, I think would have to extend a bit further down, too, and perhaps should be named “Deseret”. But these are quibbles on a very intriguing idea. A more fundamental question is why the creator decided to confine him/herself to 50, just because we have 50 now.
Rainier? Tahoma, maybe.
Does it change when the population moves? How often would it change?
Interesting idea, don’t see it happening anytime soon or at all.
