I am a paralegal student in Orem Utah and a tribal member of the Estom Yumeka Maidu tribe of Oroville California. What is the best place for me to inquire about starting indian law once I graduate?

My tribe has closed the blood rights im a full blood right member in my eyes but im not to my tribe i feel because the blood rights has been close my grandfarther was the chief of the reservation but now the tribe is under new order an now the young indians of the unkechuge nation that are not resgistered as a blood right member will not get the full benefit of their culture how can i get my tribe to open the blood rights
A referemdum vote of the people via based on the rolls utilized during your grandfathers time. language is important especially when stating the terms of those recognized as full-bloods(e.g. those of mixed blood but born within the tribal jurisdiction can be recognized as full-bloods)
trying to locate a native american website for attorneys, lawyers or court advocate on CFR issue as well Civil Rights violation for search and advisement.

yes, full-blood always means full blood; as one of those unique persons, i was running a few quarts low recently, but, IHS replaced and I am now back measuring “full-blood” according to BIA indicator implaneted into my body.
Attorney needed! I need a lawyer that can cover the entire state of Florida. Looking into filing several lawsuits, must know Indian Law. Especially IACA!

My former statement did not come across intelligently;lol, forgive my poor spelling and projaection.FYI: I reflect the reality of civil treatment of Aboriginal Australins, spelling included,lol. However, I think I have raised valid point…why do we as indigenous people feel our rights are only valid in terms of western economic liability? This frustrates me for two reasons. 1. What we identify as social capital is not neccesarily relevent to non Indigenous peoples until they hit a decline in a natuaral resource and see the essential realism of our old peoples teachings and 2. why do we spend som much energy jumping hoops to identify ourselves as socially relevant in western commercially viable terms . Its apparent to anyone who cares to asses the current realtiy of “life” that capitalsim is a decaying social system- unstainable. Why do we, as indigenous peoples, play a conducive role in its continuity and TOP (treadmill of production)? It appears to me the one thing western productiviy and capitalism fears most is the self sustainiblility of indigenous peoples…it also appears that this is THE social mechanism for social growth in terms: of it creates an example others can follow to sustain a better form of eco-relevant and eco- logical civic govenernance and, thus, economics , there fore harmonious sustainiblity.
This discussion raises two questions in my mind.1.What is our role as caretakers of the earth, how do we comply with that; and 2.what is our role, if any, as caretakers of humanity?Im curious as too where economic development fall into those negative, those non sustainible, criteria’s within western ideolgies of governance founded upon capitalism?

I am a mother of a child who is to be expelled from a native school. He has a learning disorder, DCD. He had found a switchblade knife, blade was long as 3 inches. He thoughtlessly brought to school to show his friend. He wanted to impress his friend, but staff was informed he had this in his possession. He was sent home and is currently being titled as a threat to the school. He isn’t a evil child, he just doesn’t know any better, unless told. He has always been a loner, i secluded my children most of their elementary lives. My son is now and forever going to be known as a threat. I’ve worked to so hard with this school for him to be properly educated, now they got what they wanted, him out of our native school. No Hope.

My husband and I are being maliciously prosecuted in Carlton County MN. My husband has no criminal record, and contracts overseas with the U.S.State Department. We’ ve been humbled. Arrested and charged with a 2nd degree controlled substance offence, after loaning our Jeep to a family member. Our experience is almost unbelievable …Carlton County is out of control. Our experience is just one of many, currently happening to indian people caught up in an unjust court system. We need competent representation.We also have witnessed first hand the maltreatment of residents of the county jail, perpetrated by staff and officials. ANY ASSISTANCE WOULD BE A BLESSING. I pray again that tomorrow, will bring a better day. I pray..manni doo will send help, not just for my family but for all our people in Carlton County.We are human beings, that desearve to be treated as such.
my daughter was taken from her mother im a member of the tribe in north carolina when they took my daughter my girlfriend was still married she has been seperated from this man for two and a half years he had no idea that she was pregnant and had ever had a baby after her seperation she left this man because she found out after they married he was a registered sex offender she would of never thought to do a back ground check because for some reason they allowed this man custody of his then 5 year old son when this man was 15 he molested his 5 year old nephew. they are giving this man right to see my daughter thats only 4 months old and telling me that i have no rights as her biological father but are very aware that he is not her father that i am her father he is fighting for custody of our precious little girl and has been going to see her through a foster agency call bethany christian services they said they have to let not only him but his girlfriend visit our baby i need help she sent the nicwa a bunch of lies about me and my family my girlfriend and they are doing everything they can not to reunite me and my precious baby girl aubrey star lowery i need a lawyer and i need to know what my rights are as a tribal member of the lumbee tribe please help me my number is 810 956 0398 or 586 443 1418

I feel for you i’am from and live on a Indian reservation in Montana , one of my grandchildren is having trouble in school also, except we were told another student smelled pot on him , so the principal searched him , made him take all his clothes off to his under short, the teacher that talked to grandson said he was no part of the search ,teacher stated he stop after talking to my grandson and knew he was telling the truth, I to would like to know what’s going on with school systems, sometimes wonder if people are getting degree cause it’s quick and really don’t have patience with children, don’t get me wrong because there are some dam good teachers who go out and beyond there teaching ,so with this will keep you in prayer
