The art we use on Turtle Talk is from a painting called “The Seeds Are Planted” by Zoey Wood-Salomon. In 2007 we asked Zoey to do two paintings for us, one to use for the Center generally and another for our 4th annual conference.

Ever since then, we’ve tried to use original Native art for our programs and posters:
Indigenous Law Conference: “Harvest” by Zoey Wood-Salomon (Ottawa Nation, Wikwemikong Unceded Indian Reserve)
Indigenous Law Conference: “Them two, the first Americans” by Sam English (Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians)
Indigenous Law Conference: ILPC Logo by Tom Teuthorn (Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians)
Indigenous Law Conference: “Traditional Dancer” by Jonathan Labillois (Listuguj Mi’gmaq First Nation Band)
Indigenous Law Conference: Bead Work by Rose Nimkiins Petoskey (Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians)
Indigenous Law Conference: “Bear Society” by Brian Corbiere (M’Cheeging First Nations)
Indigenous Law Conference: ‘Gikinoo’amaagoowin (Education) by Dylan Miner (Wiisaakodewinini (Métis))
Indigenous Law Conference: “Hummingbird Ascension” by Andrew Keedah Hobson (Navajo Nation)
Indigenous Law Conference: Two Row Wampum/The Kaswentha, by Dawn Dark Mountain (Oneida Nation of Wisconsin)
