This is a great blog! Banned books, first. Next, banned thoughts. All this energy to hush, hush, hush.

Dear Mr. Fletcher, We have talked before this but you probably do not remember. However how can I get these baned books, already taken off Arizona school shelves, sent to me?
    Sincerely,

This is the type of thing that happens when minory groups fail to fully acquaint themselves and monitor the legislative process. If this had happened to say, medial studies, the Arizona Medical Association’s lobbying groups and PACS would have been alert to any potentially negative legislation and worked to thwart if BEFORE it became law.

For Indian Country, until we invest in learning how U.S. politics at the state and nation level works, until we invest in having our own lobbyists and PACS to monitor and influence state and federal governments, we will remain ignorant, and remain stuck having to live with the consequences of other peoples’ laws – laws brought about by groups that DO invest in initiating, monitoring, and controlling legislation to achieve their political agendas.
