U.S. Attorney for W.D. Okla. Accepting Apps for Volunteer Summer Law Clerks

SUMMER VOLUNTEER LAW CLERK

The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Oklahoma in Oklahoma City is accepting applications for its Summer Volunteer Law Clerk Program from January 17, 2012 through February 15, 2012.  Students are assigned to the appellate, civil, or criminal division, and will assist with all facets of case preparation such as legal research, drafting motions and briefs, discovery, and trial preparation.

Requirements:

Must submit a cover letter, resume, transcript, and writing sample.

$                                              Must submit the attached Questionnaire.

$                                              Must be a U.S. citizen.

$                                              Must undergo a satisfactory background investigation.

$                                              Required to work 32-40 hours for 8-10 weeks.

$                                              A DD-214 must be submitted to claim veterans= preference.
