1 Response to 6th Annual Tribal Leadership Conference: Transitions — Sept. 24-25, 2013

  1. Richard says:

Is there any way possible. Anyway at all that the NCAI mid year conference Native American Indian Veterans illegal taxation resolution can be discussed? There are various conferences and meetings of well educated leaders and prominent lawyers who work in Indian country and everyone holds veterans in the highest regard yet this particular issue is not discussed at these meetings and conferences.
The NCAI recently passed a resolution to encourage tribes to get on board and get behing these cheated veterans who were robbed of millions from their military pay in the form of illegal taxation.
This topic and Veterans issue should be on the agenda of every conference from now untill it is resolved in favor of these veterans.
We have our jobs and our security and our positions because these veterans went off to war to fight for everyones right to be whatever and do whatever they choose.
The very least we can do is thank them by making sure this illegal taxation resolution by the NCAI gains strength and momentum by keeping it in the discussions rather than allow it like these older veterans to just fade away.
