Indian law is interesting. In the l980s I represented a man charged with “terrorizing” = over the phone. A bogus charge. He was arrested by county cops on the Res. who failed to follow the tribal extradition law. We filed habeas suits in state and federal court, which took about 5 years. The 8th Circuit denied relief, but the effort yielded results. The police learned to follow tribal extradition law. And the underlying charge was dismissed. And, NARF helped out in the 8th CA.
North dakota case, out of T Mt. Res. reviewer, add this to my comment please. If you edit or post my comment. thanks vance g
