    I hate to say it, but I think this is “fake news.” Note the piece that looks like it’s from ESPN is *not* from ESPN’s website (which, like the team’s official website, has nothing about this), but from a site called espnsports that appears to have been created to mimic ESPN. Compare http://espnsports.news/nfl/story/_/id/68393572/dan-snyder-honors-native-americans-changes-team-mascot-to-washington-redhawks with http://www.espn.com/nfl/. Also, it does not show up on Google News: https://news.google.com/news/search/section/q/redskins/redskins?hl=en&ned=us .
