Here is the website for the people proposing gaming (non-Indian) in Ohio, and a legal opinion on whether it allows for Indian gaming in Ohio (the opinion says no).

    From the Columbus Dispatch:

The Columbus Dispatch has endorsed a “No” vote on a proposal to put a casino in southwest Ohio.

The newspaper said the casino proposed for Clinton County would cause financial ruin, family destruction and unsavory political influence. It said the proposal behind Issue 6 is “at least as bad” as previous gambling proposals that Ohio voters rejected in 1990, 1996 and 2006.

The Dispatch also said that the tax rate on the casino _ as high as 30 percent _ could drop to zero if a Native American casino is established in Ohio in the future. The editorial notes that the financial backer of Issue 6 is the chief executive of a Minneapolis-based company that has developed Native American casinos in Michigan, Mississippi, Oklahoma and California.
