    As the Samish tribal attorney, I would note that this new opinion, which benefits the Samish Tribe, did not deny Snohomish intervention in the Samish case. It denied Tulalip intervention in the Snohomish recognition case, based on the recent Samish Ninth Circuit en banc decision. Snohomish had participated as an amicus in the Samish Ninth Circuit appeal.
