I was there 60 years ago and was led to the site by the son of the operator of the indian trading post. The site was unknown to the general public and he told me not to tell anyone. We went up the way the indians did, throw a rope up with a weight on the end over a log positioned just for that purpose. It was totaly untouched at that time and looked like the indians had just left.
I am sorry to hear that anything was removed.
