Marshall casino moving forward
Leaders of the of Potawatomi Indians announced Monday a Lansing contractor will build its $270 million casino in Calhoun County.
Clark Construction Co., founded in 1946, is experienced at managing construction of gaming facilities in Michigan.
The FireKeepers Casino, between Marshall and Battle Creek, will create 700 construction jobs and an additional 2,500 jobs when the casino opens in mid 2009.
The tribe will operate the casino with Full House Resorts, as part of a management agreement approved recently by the National Indian Gaming Commission.
