Thank you for posting notice of the decision by the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, as well as the texts of the earlier district court decisions and appellate briefs.
I worked on this case at the trial court level as an expert witness for the Tribe and published my work in *A Nation of Statesmen: The Political Culture of the Stockbridge-Munsee Mohicans, 1815-1972* (Norman: University of Oklahoma Press, 2005).
The Court’s ruling on Tuesday–Inauguration Day–was definitely a disappointment.
