Kimberly Teehee Appointed to White House Position

“This is an important appointment and one that bodes well for Michigan Tribes. Teehee worked in Kildee’s office for years and understands the needs of MI tribes better than many other possible appointees.” N.R.

From the NYTs:

President Obama made good on a campaign promise to have an American Indian adviser in the White House to counsel him on tribal issues. He appointed Kimberly Teehee as a senior policy adviser for Native American affairs. Ms. Teehee is a member of the Cherokee Nation and has worked for Representative Dale E. Kildee, Democrat of Michigan, for the last decade. She will be a member of Mr. Obama’s domestic policy council.

This is not a comment, we were referred to you for any advice you might have on our problem. My son and I are registered with the Navajo Tribe in Arizona. My son was married, has a 4-yr old daughter and separated from a German wife. The mother is pregnant for another man and petitioned the San Francisco court to move to Germany taking their daughter. The court agreed; there is no foreign mirror in place for his protection plus she was given full custody. We appealed which was denied. As of this writing my son has no foregin protection with his parental rights taken away. The judge was biased and prejudiced as I watched from the hearings. Surely as a NA he has rights. The Navajo Tribe would not help us. Although my grand-daughter’s blood quantrom is 1/4 (Navajo/Oneida) she still is NA. Thank you for any suggestion we might follow to get his NA parental rights restored.
