Special Projects Attorney

Healing Court Coordinator

Under the supervision of Senior Associate General Counsel, provide general legal services to the tribe and its enterprises in a broad variety of matters including: contract law, employment law, administrative law, real estate transactions, Indian gaming regulation, taxation, jurisdiction disputes, environmental law, cultural resource preservation, child welfare, and drafting legislation consistent with representation provided by the General Counsel.

Contract Attorney

The Office of the Child’s Representative (OCR) is mandated (CRS 13-91-101) to provide legal representation to children and youth in Colorado. OCR currently provides best interests representation in all of its case types (CLR in Domestic Relations proceedings and GAL in all other case types), as well as client-directed representation for youth age 12 and older in D&N and Foster Youth in Transition proceedings. Chief Legal Officer

Clinical Fellow Emmett Environmental Law & Policy Clinic

Harvard Law School. The Emmett Environmental Law & Policy Clinic at Harvard Law School is inviting applications for a full-time Clinical Fellow. The position will be based at the Harvard Law School campus in Cambridge, MA (with potential flexibility for limited remote work between semesters, depending on the fellow’s circumstances). Expected start date is July/August 2025, with some flexibility depending on the chosen candidate. The Clinical Fellow will work with the Clinic Director and Clinical Instructor on a broad array of environmental, energy, and natural resource cases and projects and assist with the supervision of the students working in the Clinic. The Fellow’s work will involve a mix of litigation, administrative advocacy, policy work, legislative drafting, and client advising. The Fellow will typically have a portfolio of multiple ongoing projects and tasks.

Qualifications Required

J.D. (earned within the last three years) and admission to state bar. Willingness to seek admission to the Massachusetts bar under Rule 3.01

Salary:

Compensation for the fellowship (which includes salary and benefits) is commensurate with

experience. The base fellowship salary amount (not including benefits) is expected to be in the

range of $60,000-$80,000.

Duties:

Engage in discussions with the Judge and Senior Law Clerk about the merits of cases and motions and provide advice on legal issues, recommended outcomes for individual issues, and disposition of cases and motions.

Review, analyze, proof, cite check, and, as necessary, revise or rewrite proposed opinions received from the research division before circulation to other judges on the case call panels.

Prepare bench memoranda in advance of oral argument for cases assigned directly to the Judge in lieu of a research report from the research division.

Under the direction of the Judge, prepare draft opinions for cases, including those where a proposed opinion is not provided by the research division, those remanded from the Michigan Supreme Court, and those where the panel remanded the matter to the lower court and retained jurisdiction and the remand is completed.

Tribal Survivor Project Staff Attorney Michigan Statewide Advocacy Services

Crime Victims Legal Assistance Project (CVLAP) is seeking a Staff Attorney focused on serving Native American survivors of domestic violence in Northern Michigan with family law matters. This Staff Attorney will be responsible for working with clients (ranging from advice to full litigation) with civil cases in both State and Tribal Court. Although their work will be fully remote, this Attorney will be responsible for serving clients located primarily in Northern Michigan (but not in the Upper Peninsula) so applications residing in Northern Michigan are given preference. This grant funded contract position expires October 2026. The Associate Attorney position is a three-year position with the opportunity for extension. Responsibilities:

Qualifications:
