Ramsey County Social Services Department

Indian Child Welfare Manager, St. Paul, MN. The National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers

2021 Summer Fellowship in criminal law, partly or entirely virtual. First and second year law students from historically underrepresented backgrounds, in good academic standing, and enrolled at an ABA-accredited law school are invited to apply. National Indian Gaming Commission

Intern, Washington, D.C. Under the supervision of the Office of General Counsel attorneys, the intern may assist with a variety of matters, including legal research and writing for legal advisory opinions and other memoranda; reviewing tribal gaming ordinances, proposed management contracts, and other tribal submissions; and providing legal support in enforcement actions and appeals. The intern will be assigned at least one major research and writing project. The selected applicant will be expected to participate for a minimum of 10 weeks, 30 hours per week. The volunteer internship is unpaid and will be conducted virtually using video-conferencing and collaboration software platforms. Legal Intern, Midwest Regional Office. The Midwest Regional Office partners with impacted communities to fight for clean air, drinking water, and soil. Director of Strategic Legal Advocacy. Our Director of Strategic Legal Advocacy will help our 150-lawyer team identify and counter these doctrinal trends in the context of our ongoing substantive work. Staff Attorney, Toxic Exposure and Health Program. We expect the staff attorney we hire for this position to play a leading role in developing and leading litigation and seeking opportunities to further the Program’s work using litigation as well as other forms of legal advocacy.  The ideal candidate for this position will have experience with all aspects of complex litigation—including developing cases, motion practice, evidentiary hearings, oral argument, and appeals.  Prior experience with environmental law is not required, but prior experience with administrative law, as well as a demonstrated capacity to work effectively in a public-interest environment, is strongly preferred. While a science background is not required, candidates should be comfortable reading and working with scientific material.

Research and co-facilitate the pilot year of setting the foundation for the first regional Indigenous Seed Growers Cooperative; Works with National Program Director to develop and implement curriculum and listening sessions based on the needs of the region; Works with National Program Director to develop strategic plans for the regional Seed Cooperative and ISKN network; and more.
