Staff Attorney, Lansing, M.I. Legal Services of South Central Michigan (LSSCM) is a division of the Michigan Advocacy Program (MAP) which provides access to the justice system for those who need it the most through its local legal services offices, Legal Services of South Central Michigan and Farmworker Legal Services, as well several statewide advocacy programs: Michigan Poverty Law Program, the Michigan Immigrant Rights Center, the Michigan Elder Justice Initiative, and the Michigan Legal Help Program. Supervising Staff Attorney Chicago, Chicago, I.L. Earthjustice is seeking an experienced litigation attorney to join its Midwest Regional Office in Chicago, IL. Professor, Albuquerque, N.M. The University of New Mexico School of Law invites applications for a full-time, tenured or tenured-track faculty position to teach in its Legal Analysis and Communication Program, starting in the Fall of 2020. Faculty in the program are responsible for teaching Elements of Legal Argumentation I & II, the law school’s required first-year legal writing sequence. ELA I & II focus on developing students’ skills in legal reading, research, analysis, and communication. The program’s faculty members typically teach two first-year sections of approximately 15-20 students each (or 30-40 students total). They also teach upper-level writing courses, and the successful candidate will be expected to help design and implement the program’s upper-level writing curriculum. At UNM, legal writing faculty serve on all law school committees (including serving as chairs of committees) and are eligible for summer research and teaching grants.
