Environmental Law Institute

Research and Publications Intern (Spring 2021 January – May), Washington, DC, but it will be a fully remote position, so interns do not need to be in DC. Interns conduct in-depth secondary and primary research, attend and report on outside events, analyze, edit, and synthesize scholarly material, assist with preparation for environmental training courses, and provide limited administrative support. ELI integrates interns into the day-to-day operations of the Institute, and interns are encouraged to attend ELI-sponsored workshops, seminars, roundtable, and other events. Summer intern and spring and fall externship, in Denver, CO. We are looking for rising 2L students who are able to commit to a full-time (40 hours a week) summer or spring externship. We are requesting that applications be submitted by October 15 for a spring externship, and by November 15 for summer internships. We are unable to offer any remuneration; however, we endeavor to accommodate requests for academic credit consistent with your law school’s externship policy. New Mexico Legal Aid

Native Communities Medical-Legal Partnership Attorney. New Mexico Legal Aid has received a multi-state grant from AmeriCorps to host one-year AmeriCorps members to facilitate the medical-legal partnership (MLP) program serving American Indians and Alaskan Natives throughout the US. 14 members will be recruited throughout the US as follows: six attorneys in Alaska (Anchorage, Fairbanks, Juneau, Kenai, Nome, Sitka), four attorneys in Oklahoma (Oklahoma City), and one attorney in each Arizona (Phoenix), Nebraska (Omaha), New Mexico (Albuquerque) and Utah (Montezuma Creek). The attorney selected will be located primarily at the clinic site but also the at host site’s local office.
